BBC to Launch New Magazine
With successful publications like The Economist and The Financial Times becoming so popular in the U.S., BBC has decided to launch a new magazine aimed squarely at well-educated Americans. The U.K. media company will launch BBC knowledge Magazine, which will take on National Geographic, as well as other natural history, and popular science publications. The content for the new magazine will be drawn from U.K. based publications BBC History Magazine and BBC Wildlife Magazine.
BBC Knowledge Magazine will be published six times a year starting in August. The 100-page-full-color glossy will be priced at $5.99 on the newsstand and $29.95 for an annual subscription. BBC aims to circulate 85,000 copies and will be entirely circulation-supported.
